We have Arrived!

Image
We made it to North Carolina and picked up Finn and Archie from school.  Either they remembered us or they’re happy to go with anybody. Still working on the heater but I think it’s taking its toll! Plenty of energy for everybody. So fun to have meals in the motorhome. Grandma cooked dinner and everyone ate in the motorhome. All the neighbors stopped by to see the excitement of a motorhome not sure how excited they’ll be when they find out It’s will be here for a couple months.! That’s it we’re here. We’ll fly home next week and then fly back in June to take the family camping and drive home.. Thanks for following along with the blog. I think this is a good place to end our story … although I’m sure we will have a lot of adventure to come next week watching the boysπŸ˜‚ We are very blessed to have had such a safe trip. We thank God for his protection. πŸ’•

Going Postal History

Pigs, Sheep and Cows..every morning there are more animals, this is a great “hipcamp”! Sullivans Beach..across the Ravenel Bridge ,  the Ravenel Bridge or  Cooper River Bridge , is a 2.5-mile (13,200-foot) cable-stayed structure connecting downtown Charleston and Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Opened in 2005, it features eight lanes, a pedestrian/bike path, and dramatic 575-foot-high diamond towers.  I really wanted to walk the 2.5 mile span but  too late, too cold and too scary by myself .  This is the actual Charleston Post Office doubling as the Museum.   Shocked to see the mail sorting case that we used in the 80’s in the museum, how rude.  Well onto the: Nathaniel Russell House  (51 Meeting St):  A Neoclassical mansion known for its elaborate architecture and a three-story free-flying staircase. There are many houses open for tour, beautiful furnishings and restoration to original look.  Hey that’s just like the Holiday Inn in Sa...

Who let the cows out … moo .. moo

It was a little startling to look out and see him..then he brought a friend, luckily we had 🍎 🍎  Then the cows started coming..a little bigger, we closed the door! When the gate opened they all made a run for it.. we tried to herd them back in with the car, no luck, they sent in the dogs! And this is before we went anywhere 😬  I love thisπŸ’• coming from the country into the city.  So many beautiful homes, churches and fabulous visitor centers.  John is looking into a wall of view masters. The rooftop hotel, the oldest tavern and dolphins.  6 blocks of City Market, best ever coming home with some souvenirs.  We took a carriage tour and to determine the route they pick a colored ball ( to keep the horse traffic down).  The Cows waiting up for us… but we are off to bed… couldn’t quiet sync with the bus schedule walked almost 9 miles😳 We survived another day, thank you Jesus πŸ’•
