Image
Saturday May 15, 2021.   Time to go....Goodbye, we miss you already, don’t forget us Finn💕   Ok honey only 1342 miles to go....Abilene prettiest town I ever seen, women there don’t treat you mean, my Abilene.  See not the prettiest girls, prettiest town...and really. ...not so pretty.  The WASP (Women Airforce Service Pilots) Museum in Abilene, it was our first stop but it was closed for a private event. That’s OK onto Midland for George W Bush childhood home.   A modest home and it looked like lots of love was inside, still had the doghouse! No dog.   Interesting fact:  Laura Welch Bush was from Midland. Highlight ..Permian Basin Petroleum Museum in Midland, yes the Permian Basin is the town in Friday Night Lights.     One wing of the museum is dedicated to Chappaal cars and their history.  The car on the right won the Indy 500 in ‘79 driven by Al Unser.  Hey who is the driver on the left?????  John tried but couldn’t ...

Motorhome adventure for Finn

The week of May 10, the days are melting together, walking, caring for Finn, going to Braum’s for ice cream, caring for Finn, pickleball, caring for Finn, some cards, caring for Finn...   Texas is green, as it should be with all the rain, what fun spending time with our youngest daughter. Megan is a great Mom, boy have things changed since you were a baby.     Finn is a really good baby, calm and happy.  I think he has his mama’s hair.   Well trash in this area is interesting...bags are just thrown out in front of the house and trash comes 2 x’s a week for pickup.  Needless to say their is quite a bit of trash blown around and animals get in the bags, not a great system.  We kept the street clean as it was our front yard for 2 weeks.  “Score”, on this hardly used bassinet, Finn got to spent 2 nights with Grandma and Grandpa in the motorhome.   Finn was a good boy, sleep for 3 hours, eat a diaper change and back to sleep.  Nothing ...

Just can’t leave our little Finn

Monday May 10, 2021.  Finn is 1 week old..and already smiling...so are we 🙂   He is a busy little guy...before he came we did 2 puzzles...now we just look at him.   It was a beautiful Mother’s Day.  Jed’s Mom Joan came in from Texas and Jed bought flowers and decorated the table...John bought the cake!  We had a lovely brunch and have enjoyed ogling over Finn. We did get out today to visit the zoo, Finn stayed home with G’dma Joan.   Wonderful zoo, great layout and saw an amazing but creepy reptile house.     Finn with Mom and Dad....and just being precious..love this little guy💕 Don’t know if we will ever leave..maybe when he is 18!
