Dr Pepper and the too small Car Wash

Wednesday April 28, 2021.  Before we rush off to the Dr. Pepper Museum we stopped at the library.  2 of the coolest things I have ever seen.  Kids could take home a “Discovery Box” subject based books and activities, how fun!  The “Book Club” bag. Each bag has 8 books and a discussion guide, each bag is a different book.  All the books sounded good, I took a picture of all the titles and will share!

This is Baylor University, the drive-by version.  We have been thinking a lot about our friends Pam and Gary whose son went to Baylor to study Archeology.  We will have to share our Waco-y stories.

The original Dr. Pepper Factory on the left...1906 ..just to the right the entrance to the “museum”
Did you know that the Museum is a non-profit?

Our own jerk to get our Dr. Pepper sample, you had to pay for a float....

John brought back the 2 samples to the table.

The BIG model train...I like those, easier to handle when they fall off the track.  Ok honey, don’t press the button anymore the train is tired, lets go...oh look at all the pretty bottles!

Like Disneyland a talking, non paid position, guy tells you how they developed Dr. Pepper.
The Museum was very cool and it is amazing how many different drinks they make.  Well water was actually used in the original formula and that well was inside the original building. Through the years the well was covered over by cement, Baylor Archeological students excavated the well a few years ago and collected all kinds of bottles and artifacts.

John’s favorite exhibit....the money collector...I think he wants one at home.

To our next destination...Walmart to get paper goods.  Look at all the Blue Bonnet Flowers!!!!

Stop....look a car wash, we can get the bird poop off the motorhome.  Small problem...this is a “car wash” not RV wash, I don’t think we fit...we may need that air conditioner later.  Oh sure I will just hope up top and hold it down while you drive through....yeah but what about the kayaks.  Ya gotta think these things through.  Luckily we could back out.  That power wash really worked good on the solar panels.

Our new friends...more about them tomorrow.
