Lessons in Loading and Unloading Kayaks

Monday April 26, 2021.  10 miles north of Greene the Guadalupe River flows into Canyon Lake.  The hot spot for floating/kayaking is horseshoe bend.  The river is low and float companies are not running their shuttles.  All surrounding businesses want $20 to unload and $20 to load.  This particular hotel was being renovated so was a great spot to unload. We did pay the $20 to park.

Ok, I will test the water...yep it’s cold, good thing we have kayaks, people in tubes must have cold bottoms, like freezing your behind off.

River turtles

Not a very exciting ride...at least for us..
Some people had more fun...we forgot our cooler.

Only about 1/2 mile to hike back carrying the kayaks to where we parked the car.  Look here, another closed business..hurry hurry..load um up....move it out!

We poked around in a few more shops..

Sorry honey..they turned the bathroom into a shop!  Nice bundle to purchase “Exit 157A” a place to take your bundle (or in our case they took it for us) and give to a person on the street.  Love in Action💕

Our hangout (2 nights in a row).  Monday night was Bret Graham and Byron Berline a fiddle player from the 80’s.  Another night camping at the Furniture Museum and then off to Waco to see the fixer uppers Chip and Joanna Gaines Magnolia.
