Margarita Texas Size and Romantic Barge Cruise with 30 other Tourists
Saturday April 24. This is great...having Megan’s due date on the 25th keeps us focused..usually we don’t know the day or date, what town we are in or where we are going next. Typically I don’t date a blog page..this will be handy in our old age when we look at our blog books we will know...I better start adding the year!
These fine folks are Jed’s Aunt Joanne and Uncle Jeff. They live in Old Dominion, a golf course-tennis-pickleball community. NO, we did call just so we could play pickleball! Besides they beat us!
George Strait (one of our favorite country singers) lives in a subdivision near them..ahh a Kodac moment.
We thought maybe he would come out and invite us to lunch...nah but Joanne served up a beautiful feast.

What is H.E.B? It is the local supermarket chain...Ham, Eggs and Bacon..we just got coffee creamer.

Wow look at that Texas size apple...Jackfruit? Never heard of it, we didn’t get it.
Ok honey..it will be dark when we get back, can you remember where we parked? In front of that beautiful Baptist Church.
Back to the River Walk in San Antonio.

We had some authentic Mexican Food and a small drink. Both were delicious!
This is the last you will see of John...’s mask. I can not believe he lost it!!! We had 3 really good cloth masks and someone lost 2 of them!!! I still have my pink one...well it is paper for you buddy.
Fun Barge Cruise....scads of people..everywhere!!! Yikes, who let the dogs out, the lines for dinner were hours long. Apparently the river has been closed due to Covid and this was the first really good weather during the weekend for a long time. Saturday night crowds.
Probably 10 different carriages all decked out up and down the crowded streets. It was a real thrill driving the motorhome downtown, we will have to wait until 5am to be able to get back.
“ Howl at the Moon” A dueling piano bar with very talented musicians. They all played the piano, guitar and drums. They would rotate after each song. Actually I think it was a dueling money Bar....on the white board someone would tip $2 for Army...$3 for Marines (John wanted to tip $4 for Navy but it already went up to $5). Each board posts the next highest tip...when we left it was $100 for someone’s birthday and we didn’t stay that long.
A girls got to have her ice cream ....When in Texas do as the Texan’s do...Blue Bell Triple Chocolate!
This was a parting gift from the city of Texas. The wheels on the motorhome were clamped...pay the fine and wait for their arrival. We pretended it didn’t say no oversized vehicles (but we did pay for 2 spots and no one was there). The traffic was crazy and scary driving...we actually expected a much bigger fine.
**Spoiler alert.....tomorrow...The most Fun little town in Texas!
