Nothing new under the sun

Welcome to our “ ” the adventures of john and Shannon; one mile at a time (you never know when you’ll break down).   We are on an adventure to Arlington Texas where our 3rd Grandchild will greet us on or about April 25th.  Sorry to say that we have no “new” blogging skills.  The pictures post where they post and where the writing is, is where they is.  Nothing is new or easier, oh darn.  Thanks for choosing to join us, we are delayed, it took 2 days in Yuma to unwind and discover that we are on vacation from retirement.

Retirement includes almost daily pickleball, Kids, Grandkids , Grand dogs, volunteering, rentals, golf,

Church, zooming, and trying to keep our weed farm under control (we do not sell, but you may come and pick as much as you want)!

The sad news...we have no pictures from our day and 1/2 in Yuma...this is a stock photo from a previous trip, same home on wheels, same spot 293 at the Westwind RV “Resort”!!!   We played pickleball and card games....$5 a game and honors in the whoopin book, better known as the “Beat Up” book!!!!!

Our Big Splurg was on the best ice cream ever!!!  A mocha almond, coffee, salted Carmel calorie free cup of heaven!!!!!  This is a picture of what two - 2 go cups look like when They have been in your RV freezer in 90 plus degrees.  Don’t tell John, he will know I sampled some 😇 (oohhh figured out the emoji).
Soooo, let the fun begin...We wish you were all with us and we will miss you.  Please pray for travel mercies.  The Lord has been good so far, a ladder was in the middle of the freeway and John was able to swerve off the freeway (at 60 mph) onto the shoulder and avoid hitting the ladder and the car that stopped to retrieve it.......my knuckles are still white.

** how can you put pictures side by side, anyone?  Anyone?  Lynne????

  1. Just make those pictures big! Then you don't have to organize them...saves some frustrations on trying to be artistic

  2. Wow - so glad Dad was able to swerve! The adventures never end for you both. I can't wait to see pictures with your newest grandbaby.
