Texas Wind

Saturday April 17, The day started out beautiful we went on a nature hike.  
See the hole in the water... One fish per hole and if another fish gets near their hole they attack them it’s the strangest thing. They probably lay their eggs there......protective parents.
The wind started picking up it was fierce and boy did it get cold.  Yesterday we registered 115 at the motorhome and today it was 46°  Texas does everything BIG, even the wind,  big big wind!!! 
We stayed in and played lots of games and some of us took a nap
.


We hiked up to the overlook was actually quite scary the wind was fierce. 

This was from earlier bike ride we stop by the visitors center and chatted with the volunteers there... our bikes stood up all night in the wind at our campground, we were here for five minutes and they fell over!  


We attended the wedding of Leah and Keith today it was beautiful.  They got married In the Sitlers backyard in Poway.  .  We were so excited that the Internet was good enough that we could join in the celebration💕
 After the ceremony we zoomed with Jed and Megan.  Megan and Leah have been friends since childhood and share the same birthday! December 10, The same day as John’s dad😊

 Day One…first, it has been yearsss since writing a blog and using this site,  Already there is a pencil icon in my way of typing, what is up with that!!! Does it really matter

 Really, I am not going to change it or try and fix it, that would require sending another link and confusing everyone especially me!  So the name of the Blog was suppose to be “Heads Carolina, tails California and then you have a title for each post.  Well I wondered where the “one mile at a time aka you never know when you’ll breakdown”came from.  Apparently I opened up an existing blog and just added to it,  well, that title could be any of our trips so it is staying!  Now I am really going to bed, we plan on leaving around 8 am tomorrow Monday March 9.  I downloaded the APP so I hope that helps, I see I am having difficulty with picture placement…by the end of August I should have it down! Did someone say Friday the 13th?

​where to start…  Gas buddy directed us to a gas station in Abilene, Texas that was $3.15 a gallon just off the freeway and there was a Walmart perfect! We need yogurt creamer, and M&Ms💕 it all seemed perfect, especially when we saw the Brahms ice cream store over the hood of this guy‘s truck,(for those of you not familiar with Brahms ice cream, It is the best but it’s only in Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas and may be a handful of othet state states.) then we noticed the sign that they were out of unleaded gas🥲 we went in anyways and got our three items in a store that we don’t think anyone looked happy glad to be out and over to Brahms John got a sundae I didn’t feel like ice cream I got a fry. It was OK. GasBuddy leads us to another gas station for $3.49 it was supposed to be $3.19 and everywhere else in Abilene is 3.19. we’re in a motorhome at 7 miles a gallon a few blocks we find the $3.15  gas, perfect!
