Biking hiking and paddle boarding

Bismarck lake in Custer SD, we took a bike ride on the Mickelson Bike Trail, 109 mile paved bike path that runs north and south through South Dakota. Do you want to take your windbreaker John? “No” you can stick in your basket. It gets chilly riding and it might rain. “No”

Well the South Dakota sky opened up and it was a wet ride home for some😬

The ride into Custer .. the stockade, built to house the Black Hills gold rush miners.

We are discovering lots of “gimicks” business and cities do to attract tourists, popcorn balls, bearded, buffalo, even Mount Rushmore was built to attract tourists to South Dakota.

We didn’t see any Osprey but we watched a Great Blue Heron catch 2 fish, 2 more than us, we should change our technique.

The water was like glass.. wish I had my  phone to take pictures of Heron, ducks and turtles eating breakfast. It was such a beautiful quiet morning, but my first paddle of the season I was afraid something might happen in my phone would fall into the lake.

No words needed. 😬
